Importing Players Into Different Eras
Hello everyone,
I'm running a fictional league with historic players starting in 1871. As an experiment I imported 2005 Albert Pujols into my 1871 season. He hit 3 HR. Just wondering, what is the setting that is keeping him from completely dominating the league? Is it the totals modifiers? I'm just wondering if when I get into the 20's whether Babe Ruth is going to be hitting 10 HR a season or 50, because I'd like to have some outliers just like there have been in real life. Thanks! EDIT: Also, if I have historical player creation modifiers on, will that actually have any effect on anything when importing players? Or just if the league generates fictional ones?

The total number of league homeruns (and all other stats) are based on the league statistical modifiers. If you are using 1871 as the base year, the total number of homeruns (and strikeouts, walks, etc) will be similar to 1871. Pujols may hit more homers than the average player (based on his power rating); but, the rating are all relative to the era & other players.
