OSA Scouting = Scary Accurate

I know that this was an issue in OOTP 20, but the OSA Scouting is never off by very much. When it comes to overall potential and individual ratings, even on the lowest setting....it is almost always within 5 points of being right on a 20-80 standard scale. I always thought OSA was hit and miss, but it sure seems like it is more accurate than most scouts.

That makes sense from a statistical standpoint. An option to turn of OSA scouting or maybe replacing it with a less accurate common-man's assessment might be good solutions

I'm not sure it does make sense though. I would think that OSA should not be within 5 points of the true rating almost every time. When I check, my scout is erratic on low/very low, which makes sense. How is OSA almost spot on, when the manual says that they are: "woefully understaffed" and "they are rarely as accurate as your own staff" ? Has something changed where OSA is highly accurate intentionally? If so, can we turn it off??? According to the manual:

I'm guessing the solution is to just turn off the overall rating and overall potential rating while leaving the individual skill ratings on. Then, the individual component ratings will fluctuate, and it is up to you to make the evaluation.

Ah, I was mistaken as to what OSA is. I thought it was an aggregate of all scouts.

After additional testing, I believe it is the overall ratings that seem to be way too accurate regardless of scouting level. The fog of war is solid with the individual components on. Until it is fixed, my advice is to have the overall totals off. A hidden bonus to me is that you really get a feel for the player rather than just quickly glancing at an overall rating.
