Player movement from HS/College->Majors

Trying to mimic the European system, if possible...
Is it possible, by limiting ages of minor league players, to mimic that a player goes from youth to college-age to Majors?
(In other words, to make sure a 15 year old player stays in the organization until he becomes a free agent)
Or is there another way?

Are you referring to 16 year olds signing with teams and going into youth system like world Football?

I do this with my Cuban, Mexico and European leagues.

1. Turn draft off
2. Make sure IC is on
3. Go to player options in settings and tweak scouting discoveries.
4. Adjust the nations so that it’s only the nations that you want (in my case, there is only Cubans being discovered)
4. Adjust the ages you what (i use 16 min, 16 max)
5. Make sure that you have foreigners can play in this league option on (these players are counted as foreigners)
6. Either set up minor league system and turn minor league free agency off or go without minor leagues and just use a reserve system without any roster limits.

I hope that helps.

if you disable minors, do some players in reserve improve over time (like in the minors) or are they "you are what you are now and forever"?

They improve in reserve. Only difference is there is no minor league stats.
