Can I do this....

I haven't been in the market for a baseball game but I had the $9.99 sale notice pop up on my Steam account and was intrigued by the descriptions.

I'm a long time Diamond-Mind league participant (from "day one") but dropped out about five years ago. The $$money$$ and constant player movement kind of ruined it for me even though I was always very happy with the DMB program.

I have no interest in getting back in an online league but the idea of solo replays of seasons from my childhood (the early 50's to early 60's) is an appealing thought....particularly if I could do it with actual images for players and vintage ballparks.

So...will a 10 buck purchase of OOTP21 allow me to do this?

FWIW, I have not interest in the GM side....just historical replays.

Yes. For the ballparks and players you'll need to install some freebies from the mods forum.

Thanks!

Would be better to buy direct or through Steam? Looks like the price is the same regardless.

Don't know. I'm still trying to get used to not having a DVD with the game on it.

Just my opinion, but Steam makes updates easier. That said, buying direct doesn't tie it to a 3rd party app you may lose access to. Really your call.

Buying Direct = Ability to put game on two machines you own.

i used to use the direct buy game - but updates got to be too big too often, so i switched to Steam. There are things i like about Steam, things i don't. But all in all, updates are smaller and faster (using less bandwidth, which is an issue for me). It's the same game. Just depends on what is important and easiest for you.

I play a lot of Civ 6 via steam. The only issue I have is that sometimes after updates, saves from ongoing games will not load. Have you experienced any issues like this with OOTP?

no. i played the out of box version for 6 years and steam now for 2 years, and never had an issue of game not loading on either one. i have had issues with a file getting corrupt, but backups saved me both times and both corrupt files were due to the power going off during a back-up. But i've seen no difference in the games except steam updates are smaller and automatic.

Question simple waiver wire question

just a simple question. I understand Waivers, but I was trying to make a post July 31 trade. The trade was blocked as someone claimed my guy. I was told I could revoke waivers on my player to keep him. Where do I do that? Clicking on his name, and going under the Transaction link does not allow me to revoke waivers. I must have some button clicked or unclicked somewhere. Can anyone help?
Much thanks
