Love your work. I installed the 1915 Baker Bowl and the look is fantastic. One issue
though on some balls hit to right right field for hits the ball tracks over the right field
stands and disappears. A throw will come from an unseen player and end up in shallow left field. I'm new to the game and don't know if I could fix this myself.

Have you set your "ball locations"? If you have, you could set the ones in right field a lot shorter like take them off of the wall. Keep the very top ones at the top of the wall. It doesn't help completely but it does help on a lot of balls hit that way. It's not something that Silvam can fix. It's in the game that way and because of the very short dimentions of right field in that particular park. Play around with the ball locations and you could at least make it better and help keep the outfielder from running through the wall. I still have him fade into the scoreboard though. Still trying to fix that some if I could. I would hope that OOTP could fix this one day. It happens on some other parks, too.

Thanks for the info. The ball flight I'm referring to though is way foul going over
the right field stands way short of the outfield wall. I'm looking at the "Ball Locations" screen of the park and everything is very compressed nothing is even close to the outfield wall. I did notice that the 9LS and 9LM were in foul territory.
I'm guessing these are line drive right fielder short and medium?
I moved those to the other side of the foul line. Maybe that was the problem?

Though I take the time to set the ball locations for 2d. I never test them. I leave it up to everyone else to fix them as they are easily fixable by any user. I’m strictly a 3D model guy. I will take the suggestions in the future though. Thanks.

Yeah, OK, I know what one you mean now. That is a glitch that has been reported. We are waiting for that one to be fixed. If you see something crazy like a play like this you could report it in the bugs section. You need to send them the info from that particular play, though. I'm not sure how to do it. In the bugs report section under 3D animations, I think.

It sure is a crazy play. A play like this one could happen in any park because it's a 3D ani play and not ball park related. I was playing in Forbes Field and remember that crazy play came up as the ball went way, way foul into the right field fan area with no sight of the ball or Roberto Clemente for a good 15-20 seconds. Finally, Clemente threw the ball back into the infield and the batter got a triple. The ball came out of nowhere back to the infield.

Yes 9LS and 9LM are short and medium. 9LD is deep. The markers for foul territory have an F after it. Follow the instructions for "Auto-arrange locations" on the ball location page just underneath the name of the stadium or park. It will tell you the basics of how to set the markers. Click on Auto- Arrange Locations and a box will come up and tell how.

No worries, Silvam. He was talking of a particular play that is bonkers out of whack. It's a OOTP ani mess-up. It's really a silly one too. If you ever see it, you'll lol for sure.

Understandable! And with the drag and drop its no problem at all to
tinker. In looking at the locations for the game supplied Spring ballpark
it looks pretty straightforward.

Yes some are pretty set. However if you check the modern day parks that come with the game you will see that they need to be set. Don't know why but they are off some in my opinion. I go through them and set them all.

I've had that same deal happen to me once. It's pretty funny because the ball gets thrown from out of view as if a cannon shot it back onto the field.

You're new to the game? You have 1,873 posts since 2007! What was all that? Research? I'm just teasing...

Hey thanks for that! Will check it out.
Yes never owned or played the game unitl recently.
The posts were me wanting to share my player colorizations I
created for that "other baseball game" out there.
I've colorized dozens of ballparks for that one as well. 2D of course.
Love the deadball parks. The 3D versions here are wonderful.

Yes you have done very well with your colorizations. I've enjoyed looking at them. They're really good.

Anyone know how to get historical 3D models on a MacBook? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Comiskey Park II - Rebuild

As part of building a current version of Guaranteed Rate Field, I re-built the New Comiskey version I had from 1991-2000.

Enjoy!

It's pretty similar to how it works on the PC. Unzip the park into the OOTP Baseball 21\ballparks\models folder. In the game go to the ballpark editor, pick the relevant team and select to manually import data for the park. From there you'll navigate to the relevant .prk file (typically found in the folder for the stadium).

Some day, if there is enough source material -- good photos from all sorts of angles, overhead shots, etc. -- I'm sure many OOTP'ers would be eternally grateful if you were able to build Steinbrenner Stadium, Tampa, Florida. It's the Yankees Spring Training facility. Even though it's a Training Complex, it's pretty big and much fancier than your typical Training Complex...

I have a home stand coming up in 3 more games...been on a road trip. Even though its 1992 in my world right now, I think I'm going to have to play a series in this new Yankee Stadium II. What's the worst thing that could happen? I create a black hole for tearing the fabric of space-time? Pffft Scientists are always saying they want to see one up close. I'd be doing them a favor!!

I can't wait! Great job....as usual.

Sweet Yankee Stadium!

And that's coming from a Mets fan (as painful as it sounds)

Thanks!

You did Yankee stadium? Ha! I thought as a Red Sox fan you were going to get to it last!

I know that Minute Maid Park has been requested, hopefully that's next. I've been using your late 1990's Astrodome version which is really nice.

Would you consider updating your 1988 Yankee stadium with a little more detail? I'd like to see some monuments behind the left-center field fence. The previous Yankee Stadium had a much nicer and larger monument park than the current stadium. Also, I'd like to see the Nobody Beats The Whiz sign on the right field wall like they had in the 1996 playoffs. That would be a really nice touch.
