Defense Eff
Just looking for some help.
Almost my entire team is 100+ for defense (or at least all blue) yet I am 27th in my league for rank? Any idea what makes up the def eff stats? Thanks

My little take is error rating must be bad, weak arm. ?? I guess. Many of the players from early years of baseball have terrible error although range and such is good |

It seems that there would be more of an adjustment.

Especially in the higher level PT leagues, most of the owners focus on having a strong defense. Your D is probably good in a league of solid fielders. Look at your FIP compared to your Runs Allowed per game and ERA. An FIP that is higher than your team ERA and Runs Allowed is a good indicator of the strength of your defense. As example, I focused on my defensive team and have given up 3.69 R/G (3.58 ERA) while my FIP is 4.22. By my FIP, my team should be on pace for 92.5 wins. But based on my actual runs allowed I am on pace to give up about 85 less runs than expected and am projected for 101 wins. I’m feeling pretty good about that.

If the difference between 1st and 30th is like 5 runs, 1st or 30th hardly matters. Concern yourself with the magnitude of the difference, if it's 30 runs, and you're not making those up on offense, you probably need to make a change |
