Perfect Team Help/Advice

Hey, I'm currently a bit stuck in between Silver and Gold leagues, and I can't seem to get over the hump. I'm also unsure of whether I should upgrade my lineup or my pitching staff. My team is as follows:

Lineup:
C - Yogi Berra (100)
1B - Jeff Bagwell (97)
2B - Robinson Cano (97)
3B - Evan Longoria (91)
SS - Troy Tulowitzki (91)
LF - Carl Yastrzemski (99)
CF - Duke Snider (96)
RF - Ty Cobb (99)
DH - Billy Williams (95)
Reserves:
Tim McCarver (93 - C/1B)
Chuck Klein (93 - DH/RF)
Ichiro Suzuki (92 - OF)

Starting Pitchers:
Max Scherzer (100)
Greg Maddux (99)
Steve Carlton (96)
Randy Johnson (95)
Ted Lyons (94)
Bert Blyleven (94)

Bullpen:
Aroldis Chapman (97 - CL)
Joe Nathan (93 - SU)
Josh Hader (93 - SU
Nick Burdi (90 - MR)

In my reserves I have the following:

LF Ralph Kiner (96) - Just seemed to underperform compared to Billy Williams and Chuck Klein
LF Giancarlo Stanton (90
RF Dave Winfield (91)
C Mike Piazza (96) - Not very good defensively for a backup catcher
C Jason Kendall (90)
3B Mel Ott (93)
3B Eddie Matthews (91)
P German Marquez (93)
P Yu Darvish (92)
P Mike Soraka (90)

Right now I have about 60,000 PP. I would like to upgrade at SS/3B, maybe move Cano over to one of those two positions since there seems to be more good 2B players than SS/3B. I may want to upgrade my pitching first, because it seems my team is consistently stronger offensively than defensively right now. When it comes to the bullpen, I hope it's not too obvious but I'm utterly lost, so any advice here would be great.

TL;DR
Judging from the above roster, should I:

1. make any moves regarding my reserve?

2. Upgrade my SS/3B, or my pitching first? And what cards should I target for these upgrades?

3. reorganize my bullpen?

Any other tips or advice would be greatly welcome. Thanks in advance.

If I read this right you're trying to get to and stick in Gold? I've been able to do that and have even had 2 of my teams make it to Diamond (albeit to get slaughtered there with one team, and so far play about .400 ball with the other). But I've at least been able to field pretty competitive Gold teams so far going F2P.

For one, I would say to start Ichiro in CF. He's very productive as a hitter and you really want his defense there over Snider. Your choice of what to do then, I would probably bench Williams, DH Yaz and let Snider train up in LF. You could also just bench Snider and leave Williams and Yaz alone.

I would try to replace Longoria. Right now on the AH you could look at a guy like Eddie Collins for about 30k and maybe swap Cano over to 3b. You could keep Longoria around to platoon vs LHP I guess. There is also an 87 Gary Templeton who would train up nicely at 3b or 2b and who's under 10k.

I would say to put Lyons in your pen as he only really has 2 strong pitches and he's done well there for me. I would sell Scherzer (if that's the Live version?) and take a look at the "best starters for under 100K" thread here, try to get one of those guys to replace him.

Maddux is very good, Blyleven is fine for that level and will be OK in Gold too. You'd eventually want to upgrade over Carlton (maybe send him to the pen) and then Johnson as well when you can afford to.

You want to replace the Lives in the pen when you can, but the pen should be a lower priority than the roster and rotation IMO. Also in general, you want to start to weed out pitchers with a Control less than 70 and really look for 80+.
