Schedule Request 15 Teams, 3 divisions
HI all,
Not sure how to create a proper schedule. Last year it ran an 150 game season for my online league. What I'd like is My league is 15 teams, 3 divisions. I'd like to have 162 games. 6 team playoff with first round byes for the top two teams. The Quaranteam Federation of Fake Baseball is the address. the option in the sticky that most closely resembled my league isn't available anymore. thanks for any help. |

FYI: the reason that the 150-game thing happens is because OOTP's in-game schedule generator gets really spun around by there being an odd number of teams. Here's what I'm thinking here:
20 games vs. 4 division opponents (10H/10A) 7-9 games vs. 10 league opponents (3-6 H/A) Sound good? FWIW, because there are an odd number of teams, the season will have to be one-two weeks longer than usual to account for the extra off days teams will have to have Last edited by Ruwisc; 08-13-2020 at 02:08 PM. |

----------
Schedule for 15 teams, 162 games - 1 subleague, with 3 divisions of 5 teams Interleague NO, balanced games NO ---------- 20 games vs. 4 division opponents (10H/10A) 7-9 games vs. 10 league opponents (3-6H/3-6A; total 41H/41A) ---------- Season should begin on a Monday and end on a Sunday. In total, it's actually only 3 days longer than the current MLB format despite my earlier post I've left the season start date unspecified but my suggestion is entering March 23; that way the season ends somewhere between 9/27 and 10/3 Weekday games begin at 7:05 local time; Sunday games at 1:05, and Saturdays a mix between 1:05, 4:05 and 7:05 No ASG, since this league format wouldn't support it ---------- By necessity, not every team can play every day due to the odd number of teams. The schedule is still relatively "normal" in terms of series, so teams occasionally get off days in chunks of 3-4 days at a time when they're the odd team out. This means the off days kinda cluster up a bit. I've done my best to spread them out but due to how the matchups fell there are a couple instances of a team going about 4 weeks without an off day. On the plus side, road trips and homestands never exceed 11 games in length |

You don't need to put schedules in your schedule folder to import them, but that does make it easier to find. That's where I put all of my own. As for importing you should be able to import your schedule as long as the season hasn't started and it's still the preseason period (about 2-3 months prior to opening day).

It was 5 days to opening day and wouldn't let me run it. I don't understand why it locks you out at a certain point....makes no sense if the season hasn't started.
