Not a specific date. But players will typically hit their peak around age 26-30.

Newbie here. I have added three expansion teams to a standard league upon its launch on July 1. I also created AHL and ECHL teams for their farm team affiliates. However, I cannot seem to find a way to link the farm teams to the NHL team. What is the best way to do this? (I have enabled commissioner mode). Screenshots always welcome.

On the team edit screen, there'll be "Farm Team 1" and "Farm Team 2" options at the bottom-left corner of the screen, just above Add Retired Numbers. Each of them is a dropdown that lists all lower-level teams that are eligible to be a farm team of the currently-selected team.

No. You can turn on or off suspensions, but it's not editable I believe.

I have like 6-7 Scouts in my NHL Team and want to sign more....but I can't offer them any Contract!! My Budget for Staff is 4 Mio. under the Max.
Maybe someone can explain how I can offer a Scout an Contract.

Are you the same person from Reddit?

Explain how you're trying to sign someone please.

You should be going Team > Staff - Free Agents Tab. Sort to Scout. Right click, Offer. Can you still not?

Yes exactly how to offer Contracts to Players, but if I right Chick....nothing happens. No Menu opens to offer a Contract

How do I turn off (or turn off in setup if I can't do it in an already started game) international play, like the Olympics and the other international tournaments. I'm getting tired of getting offers to be run various international teams, as well as my players being used incorrectly by international teams. I've had 2 players have their positions changed due to be played in the wrong position on their international team, and several injuries. Fortunately, no critical injuries yet.

Are you on PC or Mac? I just loaded a new game and am not having any issues.

You can't turn off international tournaments.

Two questions:

1. In which region fit NAHL? My scout are scouting every USA region, but players from NAHL are always ignored (scouting level E). This league i cant find under Leagues.

2. Why cant i overwrite my older saved game with Save as... ?

If you're scouting by region, you probably need a Scout who covers all of US + Canada. But the league is available to be selected. It's in there.

It's a safety precaution so you don't delete something you don't want to. Save As is usually done to split saves, and it wouldn't be helpful to overwrite something.

Opposite, lower is sooner. We're making some changes to that in 7, Aging will be the "career length" rating and DevRate, a new rating, will handle development speed.

First off, thanks for the game - I'm really enjoying it!

I was looking at the Team Chemistry page when I noticed I have a few players I have a bad relationship with, but there is no reason given.

The manual says that: "Players are classified according to several new hidden ratings that cover their intelligence, tendency towards controversy, and ability to handle success, failure, and criticism."

This leaves me with two questions:

1. How can I improve my relationship with players?
2. How does criticism get handled? I can't seem to find a way to directly criticize a player, but I have seen that as a mood modifier on occasion. Is it something that generates from the "Players who had a bad game" section in the past game report?

Is there a way to get the right colors for the Kraken? I added them and the logo showed up but the teams colors are red, white and white.

Hi guys quick question here.
Im in my 8th season with the Detroit Red Wings and i noticed that staff bugdet has decreased in my last 3 seasons, gone from 9M to 8.1M. Does that have something to do with unused money?( have like 4.5M free) or something else? What is the cause of that?

See if the player is upset about something to begin with. Their happy/sad face can be a good clue to that. After that, it's about finding situations to help them succeed. It may mean playing more minutes, or finding time for them on special teams, etc.

Team > Edit. Use the logo to add the colors you want.

Did you have the last update downloaded? From the notes of it:

-added a failsafe to prevent sharp declines in team staff budgets over time. If this is already happening in your game, you should see a significant jump in your staff budget when you reach the next July 1 in the game

Interesting question....

I'm playing a random debut game, started with the 1967 season, and I just noticed that Milt Schmidt is the GM of the Bruins.

Does that mean he won't show up as a player? Can I assume his playing career was already over when I started the league in 1967?
