My favorite player in my fic league.Great with a bat, possibly the worst second baseman of all time

This guy is always consistent at the plate and helped his team win the world series multiple times. His career zone rating, though...

1999 was a real stand out year.
Quick question, off topic, how do you modify the stats you see on the players home page?

My heart breaks for Mr. Quintanilla. He reminds me of myself. My college coach once said, "You play 3B like you have a piano on your back." I most certainly did not have a piano on my back!! In fact, I didn't even own a piano! I didn't make errors!! But some might say that's because I couldn't get my glove on the ball sometimes.

Hmm, not sure I changed anything. I play on a laptop with an unsupported resolution, so this may be a quirk from that.

Go into any player's profile and then the stats page. Click on VIEW.

Add a stat row with the stats you want to see on the front page and save it. Make sure it is moved up to the first row.

Hopefully that gets you what you want. Note you'll need to do it in both batting AND pitching stats so it works for both type of player.

Oof. This is making me want to ditch my MLB save and boot up a fictional save again.

In all fairness, you should’ve made him a DH.

I had a similar reaction

Why?
He's been extremely productive as a second baseman.

With this save I'm actually watching everything play out as a spectator. It's been a lot of fun because I can just root for which ever team I feel like. This guy was crazy to watch early in his career then his defense absolutely plummeted for some reason. The Black Knights actually did end up making him the DH and they ended up being by far the best team in the league, winning 103 games.

This is my first shot at a fictional league and I wasn't sure how I'd enjoy it, but having all pre-conceived notions about the players completely removed has made it really enjoyable.

Absolutely. I find MLB saves become most interesting when the modern day regulars are gone and your game is filled with game generated players.

It would be nice these days if Aubrey Huff was fictional.

Before I posted that picture I looked for the screencap of the double play he missed... because he wasn't in the shot.

This is why I open random threads. You just blew my mind.

Cmon now, the worst 2B has to be Fred “Dandelion” Pfeffer. 857 errors as a 2B. If only he used a glove...

Another fun tidbit, he was the first infielder to break up a double steal, cutting off the catchers throw to second and proceed to throw the runner out at home.

Wow. I thought that may have been an exaggeration. It makes sense that his nickname was Dandelion. He must have always been looking around on the ground for one to pick just as the ball was hit towards him. I honestly remember someone on my team picking dandelions in the outfield when I was in Coach Pitch league as a kid.

I know shortstop is a whole different position but take a look at Herman Long.
