So this is life outside of Discord?

Signatures are longer than the messages.

Question: What is the appeal of this over Discord?

Thanks,

You can just disable signatures in your profile options. Honestly I have no idea why anyone would keep them on.

I like them both...for me the difference is mostly just about the pace of conversation.

Discord is great for live, real-time communication. But sometimes the conversation just moves so fast and with so many people talking at once, more complex lines of thought can easily get drowned out by whatever else is going on at the moment.

On a whim, I decided to give Discord a try and I am so glad that I did. The community is very friendly and helpful, and willing to give newbies a hand. There is a lot of good information available there, and the #auctions channel is a good place to find deals. Sometimes, cards are pulled, discussed, and sold within minutes. I now prefer Discord to this forum, and I never thought I would say that just a few weeks ago.

I've run into far too many jerks on the discord to make it worthwhile for me. You know the saying "the actions of a few ruin things for everyone"? Well, it applies for me here.

I added the few people I actually like to my personal friends list and just buggered off.

I learned so much in my first couple of weeks in Discord...as you said there is a wealth of knowledge and the people there are very helpful! It can get busy at times but you just need to get a feel on the flow of the conversations. Special shout out to api312 as being one of the most helpful people I have dealt with. There are scores of others but he was the first person I interacted with there and he def knows his stuff.

Initially I had difficulty logging in and finding information or interesting posts.

I will have to try Discord again.

Use the link within the game from the main menu-PT community screen and create an account when you get there. Then you can just use the in-game links until you become familiar.

I like both as resources. I am happy that discord has an ignore function though, some people on it are just annoying. Apparently one of the biggest crimes you can commit is reminding people there are different channels for different topics
