the fact that people can open what 5000-10000 packs is absurd. if that's the case then the market should be flooded.
I'm not going to Discord to figure out what's going on there with pack ripping but come on. |

absurd how? its not like people open them all at the same time. you can open 100 packs, say you get one live perfect worth 20K, one historical diamond worth 20K, two live diamonds for 10K, some historicals golds/silvers for 25K, then 15K of quicksell garbage. repeat the process until you hit something big.

I'm new to PT this summer. I bought approximately 100 packs before realizing that tournaments -- and F2P -- was the route that I needed to pursue. Since then, I've opened 300 packs that were won in tournaments. So out of the 400 packs, I've pulled 5 Perfects, which on the surface is a decent return. However, two of those were Live Justin Verlander and two others were Live Gerrit Cole. Neither of these guys has been particularly effective, getting smoked at Gold Level, and barely holding their own at Silver. So after several seasons with both, I dumped them at auction.
Overall the quest for Perfects was disappointing until . . . I pulled Perfect Historical Christy Mathewson. In just a handful of starts, he has been everything I would expect from a Perfect, although he's currently pitching at Silver Level. The dilemma is do I cherish an awesome card, or do I sell him for over 500K and use the proceeds to upgrade the team with two or three solid Diamond players. |

I am definitely in the camp that says it's random (and seems to come in bunches, at least for me!). For the first however-long-it's-been-out, I've pulled one perfect across three teams. Probably 1000 packs in that time. In the last two days, I've pulled four (DeGrom, Lindor, Betts, and Pedro). I doubt I'll see another until April, but at least I feel I've broken a slump.

In the last 45 days a perfect Christy (450k) and a HOF Walker in XX (current 7day 1.3m).
Prior to that, a very "slow" year, perhaps 10 perfect draws, mostly lives, the best running around 100k. I am *not* a huge pack ripper, just challenge packs and modest tourney wins. Way behind for a year, lottery winner for a month? Probably a pretty typical experience, I dunno. Last edited by Lemandria; 08-07-2020 at 07:41 AM. |

Have no idea how many packs I've opened. My guesstimate would be about 300-350, mostly through tourneys and a few from missions. Have never pulled a perfect on any pack. My kids (age 4 and 6) really enjoy opening the packs, to the point that we can use them as rewards.

In OOTP 21, I've opened over 750 packs...no Perfects. In OOTP 20, easily over 1,000 packs...no Perfects. So yeah, I've never pulled a Perfect Card in a pack!
