I turned it off and fired up a 1988 HX replay in OOTPB instead.

Actually I thought the MLB was using the crowd noise from The Show 20 for the broadcasts (not sure if they are pumping it into stadiums for the players). The NBA is also doing that but using sounds from NBA 2K20 and the NFL may also do that using Madden sounds.

The cardboard cutouts are still a little odd to me, Minnesota is using large heads and here in Cleveland they have some but they are so spaced out it looks like the old games at the old stadium in the 80s when they were absolutely terrible (2,500 fans in an 80,000 seat stadium). I would have liked to see them use stuffed animals like the KBO is using.

I'd like to see more experimentation in this (and less in the area of disease management, but anyway). I feel like the cutouts help baffle the phony crowd noise/echoes so the sound is improved, but maybe not. And I like them way better than the empty stands, Fenway and Nationals Park looked deserted.



I've seen tarps with crowd pixels printed on them that don't look too bad, and at the very least no one is doing the CGI robot people like Fox, those looked terrible.

So, if this is done, should attendance be limited to significantly less than capacity to promote social distancing and should masks be required?
