Anyone know a workaround for the playoff IR bug?

I know I've read about this issue before where people have had issues with injured players becoming healthy for the playoffs.

I was able to add the player to the World Series roster when he was finally healthy but now I have a bigger problem. The game tells me I never activated him from the injured list and it keeps wanting me to do so. However there is no option to do so.

As a result, I am now in the offseason and can't advance the game because he is stuck on IR limbo.

Any suggestions for tricks to get him off...the only options I have are a) send on rehab (doesn't work since offseason) b) send to AAA (he refused to go) c) put on waivers (not sure why that would help and don't want to risk it).

I looked for a setting change to try to override this, but the only one I can find is reset all injuries but I'd really prefer not to do that. Any other ideas???

No clue if this will work but maybe worth a try:

1) Release him
2) Go to player editor and manually place him on your team
3) I believe that would put him somewhere in your system but not sure where since I don't know your setup. At any rate, then try to put him on the active roster

Note: For #1, rather than releasing him you might try instead making him a free agent by going to the player editor and making him a free agent there.

Also, very important: You mention above that you don't want to try your "put him on waivers" idea because you don't want to risk it. So for that, this one, or any other scenario you might try, back up your league first so a) there's no risk, and b) you can try pretty much anything to solve the problem.

Actually, could I edit him to a different team, see if that clears the IR message, then re-assign him to his original team? That way his contract stays in place and it seems like a pretty low risk test.

I don't know how that would be any different that making him a free agent, and then reassigning to him original team. But, hey, give everything a shot until something works! Just be sure and make backups

Thank you! That worked. The only trick was I had to remember to put him back on the 40 man after I brought him back. Appreciate the help!
