Mountain Background Skybox I made

This is based on Estadio BBVA in Mexico where the soccer team CF Monterrey plays. I thought the mountain in the background would look even better behind a baseball field so here you go. You can put the folder in the construction kit which is located in the ballparks/models/ folder.

Daytime

Unfortunately there is a lighting change in the daytime version because of google earth, not sure how to fix it. Still looks decent I think though.

My kingdom for you if you can figure out how to get a good 360 degree image downloaded from Google Earth. Right now I'm able to get 180 degrees, so it cuts off once I get past right and left field. That was fine with fixed cameras, but not so much now.

the GPS co-ordinates and I'll give it a shot...

I think I'd sell my sould to figure out how to make my skyboxes appear in the regular game instead of just in the Construction Kit...

You can put your skyboxes in the ballpark folder and it should show up...

I'm not talking about Construction Kit parks. I make boxes for those pretty regularly. I'm talking about one of Silvam's or Nielson's parks with my skybox. I'm beating my head against the wall because I'm not terribly gifted with blender yet. If you can do this, show me the way. I'm not too proud to learn, or too old to.

What's a park and skybox you're trying to put together?

I tried the '47 Forbes and one of my boxes, both as a box and as an environment texture. Got the default game skies. It looked like this:

Wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I'm on a Mac.

Are you looking for something like this? It's not the same sky box but it is the same ballpark.

You are able to use skyboxes with other ballparks. For example if you're using Forbes Field, simply find it under the models folder, and put your skybox_day and skybox_night folders in it. Your skybox will then appear rather than the defaults.

Thanks so much. I spent a bunch of time screwing around with it last night and just having fun. I'll be doing more today. Thank YOU.

One of the things I'm distressed by is the tendency of stadiums to look "floaty" in the skyboxes. While I'm going to continue to produce skyboxes, that's something I'm going to work hard to try and solve.

All I know for sure is that we'll at the least have an immense set of skies available before long for all the parks. That's what I was hoping to accomplish from the outset.
