The team I have isn't great, almost all of the diamonds were picked up in the 6-8k range because they are not great cards, that was funded by the sheer luck of collections including cards that I'd already collected, players like Campy, Rudi and Singleton sold for small fortunes when the collections came out. Slice of luck 2 was a batch of 15 tournament packs I'd built up which gave me some good pulls

it would have been cheaper and far more efficient to just do live collections or buy the players from those

RIP my 70s theme team. I got to the point where I added 100 Morgan and Rusty Staub but the FOTF missions massacred my hopes of then turning my golds into diamonds. So I started again by selling off a few players and getting the Jackie Robinson SE, I'll build a team around him and the other Negro league players I locked in

I also have a SE Only theme team, I'm trying to avoid the obvious ones but the cost/availability of non live SE cards makes building the team a little tougher. We just won a silver championship, Jim Ray Hart and Frnak Thomas combining for 250 RBIs. We lost 7 games in the playoffs, and Kerry Wood lost 5 of them, i think i need a new stopper

There's nothing interesting about a team that can't even hang in Silver.

Started a Cardinals FTP team a month or so ago. Plenty of cards to work with in AH, but am at the point now where upgrades are going to take awhile, probably going to float between Bronze and Iron for awhile and save PP.

Best moments are playing the other theme teams (Frankenthal Brewers, Mets, Mariners), where the matchups always seem tight.

The 1998 SE McGwire is an absolute bust. I guess I should have considered what he did that year in context better.

This is my Seventh Lake Black Bears team. Its named where I summer vacationed in the Adirondacks from my youth through my college years. The theme is basically from my youth--the 60s and 70s



This is my North Coast Buckeyes team. Named for my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. The theme is any player that spent anytime with the Cleveland Indians.

These are my two themed teams. My lead team, the Lakewood Thunder is a FTP team. When I play in tournaments, I do not use themes. My Thunder play either Gold or Bronze (and an occasional open). The Buckeyes play Silver and the Black Bears play iron.

I'm eventually going to convert my main team to a Japanese players only theme team. Hopefully getting the live cards for Tsutsugoh, Akiyama, and Yamaguchi will be the catalyst for that. I'll post what I've got so far here later tonight.
