Latest patch installed - good time to start new season w/ Live Start?

Excited to start the new 60 game season - is now a good time to start with the latest patch, or should I wait for the next patch? I didn't know if there were any real deal breakers; I was waiting for the 60 game schedule to get implemented, and they've done that.

It depends on if you want to just play this year or start a long term sim. There were some reported issues with the Minor League schedules and financial implications of the short season carrying over.

Great point; I wanted to do a long term sim; sounds like I should wait for a patch to address the issues you mentioned?

I've just been using the 2nd option instead of the Live Start, it has worked well. Make sure to change the date to a different one though to avoid a glitch.

I've tried using the first option for Live Start and it fails each time with a message
"Live Update Failed. Please verify your network connection before trying again. Enabling trace mode may help determine what went wrong".
My network connection is fine and found nothing in the trace file to tell me what went wrong.
I then started a Standard Game using the second option (as the Mets manager / GM) and the active roster has a lot of issues with active injuries (for example Yoenis Cespedes is out for six weeks) and who is on the team, so much so, I won't continue with this option either.

Same issue popped up on my attempt. I also wondered if there was an option to have the draft import the true draft of this year - ive already screwed up my draft.

Yes, this is a known issue when using Challenge mode+Live start in the last patch. The patch we have coming out soon will fix this as well as clean up some other issues. So definitely better to wait a couple days to start a league.
