Historic League, Random Debuts, Real Minors - Is it possible?

Hi friends,

Long time, no post. Just got back into the OOTP series after a LOOOONG hiatus.

Anyway, here's my question:

I'd like to do a historic replay starting in 1901. I'd like to wipe all record books clean and start fresh. I'd like for rookies from all eras to randomly debut in my league via the draft. And I'd like for the game to automatically expand when real life MLB expanded, and automatically update my minor league system as it happened in real life.

The issue seems to be that when starting a new league, if I select "Use random players from all eras instead of real rosters", the option to "Import real minor leagues (1915+)" goes away. Then, if I continue along with my setup, it allows me to create a minor league system, but all the teams are randomly given cities & nicknames. That's not what I want. I want the actual minor league franchises that are actually associated with their real life MLB parent club.

Is this possible? If so, what settings are the key ones to look for when starting my league?

This amazing thread, if you are the patient and diligent type, will tell you exactly how to go about setting up the minor league aspect of your league to reflect historical reality. The curveball is the random debut element. I am running a RD sim and just decided the whole MiLB sitch was too much hassle, and have just gone to the history books to pick out a few minor league franchises from the era and evolve my minors my own way.
