Well, F1's finished for the year. As far as I'm concerned, that's it with sports now and a long and dire winter is all that is for certain now. In a few weeks I'll surely be back in "Missing Sports" territory.

I don't dare to eye Spring Training or the traditional F1 season opener in Melbourne in March yet.

McLaren turned out fine in the end. But I'm gonna miss those two muppets being together (that's an insider joke

), with Sainz signing with Ferrari, a career move akin to joining the Jets, as I learned

...and leaving Lando to his own devices.

Sigh.
