Update or build new stadium OOTP21
I started in 2004, it is now 2028. My players got together, held a meeting, and from this meeting they complained about the conditions of my stadium (Comerica Park/Detroit). The message indicated my players may become unhappy over this and their performance may suffer. So my question is how can I build a new stadium or make improvements to my current stadium. I have not been able to find anywhere I can fix the stadium.

Isn't there a ballpark building option in ootp 21?

Make sure you are in commissioners mode go to team settings page of the team you manage, then click on edit ballpark. Then click on "Actions" tab right beside the 3D Ballpark Construction Kit tab.
There you will see Add new park. I think that's how you did it. ![]() Last edited by outrider64; 07-23-2020 at 07:50 PM. |

I like your avatar. I still have cards from that year. I'm 59 and loved getting cards as a kid. Still have every one I've ever bought.

My younger brother sold all my cards in the late 80's to fix his car. I remind him every once in a while that I'm still pissed about it. Last edited by outrider64; 07-24-2020 at 02:52 PM. |

I never knew players cared about the stadium.
In OOTP the stadium really does not matter, capacity, how new it is, playing surface and quality. None of it matters. Until we get a better financial model and stadiums then stadiums are just place holders. You can set your fences to be 1000 feet and 1000 feet high and if the park factors allow for home runs then you will see 1000' home runs. I don't think capacity matters much either. I have ran teams into the red for decades and the owner never really seems to adjust my budget. I have also ran 250,000 seat stadiums and made tickets $5000 and kept fan interest at 100 and fan loyalty at the highest setting and made almost a billion dollars and my owner just keeps my budget the same. OOTP models a great baseball universe but the finances are still very rudimentary. If I had one wish for future versions it would be to greatly expand the financial aspect of the game to really make me feel like an actual GM. |
