Corrupt File?

Was playing this game last night and now Im getting this message.
Game originated from 21 so not sure why its saying import from 19.
When i click OK error suggest corrupt game data or a save-game from previous version.

Im assuming its corrupt,but just wondering if anyone has had this error. The import from 19 confuses me.
No backup was made so Im assuming this Franchise is done!

Go into the league files, find the autosave folder, copy the dats over the ones in the league folder.

it did allow me to load up the game, but all the players are not messed up.

Its created new names and the players are 100 years old.
I listed the MLB players but when I hover over a guy, the info is messed.
weird. example here. All players are now messed. Stats are the same as when I left of though. Im not the Sox, just used them as example.

Yeah, I had that bug catch my save a while ago. You can report it, but they've never been able to fix it as far as I'm aware.

Sorry you got hit.

My save had made it through many version of the game. I had 40+ years of history.

They always say to make a backup/almanac, but I like starting a new league

Is this when restoring from the autosave? If so, seems like that is corrupt as well, and lacking any backups, you might not be able to get things running again, unfortunately

Lots of reasons a save can be corrupted, but if both the save and autosave are corrupt, you might want to do a check on your hard drive, to make sure there are no bad sectors that might've caused this, just as a precaution going forward.

Thanks. All my years of OOTPB, I've never had a load error. Yes. This was from autosave. Tried load game and continue game- same thing.
Guess I just learned a lesson, to backup once in awhile. Have other franchises saved and they are all fine.
