Confused About Release Of New Patch

Does that Beta Patch Warning mean that a 60 game season with new roster set, 2nd base rule, etc will not work for any on line league leagues at all ? Or can we expect another patch after BETA to be able to work for a new online league ?

I already began recruitment for a new online league in anticipation of the 60 game season patch!

This beta patch (and the next patch) are simply not online compatible in that you cannot have members of the league on old patches and the new patch.

If you wanted to use it in an online league, everyone in the league would have to be on the new patch.

So basically, long story short, if you're in an online league, don't install it on the OOTP installation you use for the online league unless everyone in your league installs it too (which we wouldn't recommend for a beta patch).

Either make a new installation separate from where you play your online league, or don't use the patch.

The phrasing may be a bit confusing because you say it is "not online compatible". That really isn't true. The issue is that it is not compatible with previous versions for online leagues. Everything in the patch should be usable in online leagues it is just that all GMs and the commish must update to the new patch or if you don't want to apply the patch yet then no one can patch.
