8 unassisted

I play as GM and manager of S.D.
My batter hits the ball over the right fielder's head. Easy double.....NOPE.
The RF stands over the ball. My hitter is WALKING to first. The CF picks up the ball and walks it to first base before my batter gets to first.

Obligatory: the animation is just an interpretation of what the game engine produces.

Imagine it as: right fielder dives for the ball, batter thinks he makes the catch but he didn't so he goes back to the dugout. The CF picks up the ball and jogs it to first base. (Or however you can imagine an 8U)

The centerfielder catching the ball out of the air would work...

As has been beaten to death before, the animations are completely ass-backwards and the game's best attempt at fidgeting something together from the actual play the game generated. Not every play needs ist own thread AND there is a subforum to report issues specifically with 3D.

Imagine it as if the batter were to go to the dugout, he would be out for leaving the baseline.
And..... if I wanted to "imagine" I wouldn't have bought this game. I could have imagined that I did.

How would that be recorded? Possibly as 8U, no?

In case you're not aware, and I know that you are, EVERYTHING is OOTP is imaginary. The ball didn't go over the RFer's head.. The batter didn't walk to first base. The centerfielder didn't beat the batter to first base. That all happened in your imagination - aided by the text description of the play and the on-screen animation.

Yes. Some wonky stuff happens and the animations can be improved
