Since I replied to the replied in the thread with the newsgroup message you brought up (I am RS), I thought I make make some comments on it here.

I really did not think that the post that you linked to was being "unfairly" critical of OOTP4 at all, mainly because he made next to no comments about the game.

He was posting to expose the frankly horrible Baseballsimcentral.com review to a wider audience. Most of the digs he made in that post were either at members of the group, or the reviewer.

No, that is the purpose of a press release or a feature list from Markus or Steve.

The purpose of a review is to tell us what is good and bad about the game.

I respect your views Ryan and I'm sorry that you didn't approve. But that was the reason the review was wrote the way it was. I know that because I was the reviewer. I added things that were in previous releases as well as things that were new to the series.

I appreciate your comments whether good or bad. There's always room for improvement.

As for you saying it was horrible, well I accept your opinion on that as well. But I will state this. I'm not a member of the Beta testers nor was I a member of this forum until today. I had to personally run hours and hours of tests on the new features and tweaked features of the game along with writing the review. I didn't personally think it was that bad, but that's just my opinion.
