Historical uni’s/logo progression

Have not done a historical sim in quite a few years. Is there a way to have the game automatically update logos and uniforms as the years progress in line with what happened in real life? I just started in 1982 and want to see logos and uniforms auto update ad I reach current day without having to manually do it.

Also where’s best place to get historical uniforms? I assume the logos cane with the game since it auto loaded them up when I started.

You are not alone on this one Eric. This has not worked right for me for several versions now. Although in 21 it does appear to be working now. But I have only played four seasons since 21 came out. I had just gotten into the habit of manually refreshing logos and cap & jersey textures every January 1st.

Is there anything special I have to do for them to auto-update? Or where are the files houses so I can even see the uniforms? I can't seem to find them in the "jerseys" folder.

OK that is a whole other problem then. The caps & jerseys must be in their respective folders. They must be in .png format, and the correct size, 520 x 520 I think. Don't quote on on that one. But something like that. The must also be named properly:

cityname_teamnickname_start date_end date_colorhex1_colorhex2

So if you have miami_marlins_2012-2018_XXXXX_XXXXXX and miami_marlins_2019-2020_XXXXXX_XXXXXX then on Jan 1st 2019 the logo should change. But, sometimes, hell all the time, they don't. Unless you go in an do it manually. That is the problem I am talking about.

But if you are not seeing them at all that is a whole other issue.

I haven't used the uniform changes, but I am wondering based on your formula if the uniforms need to look like this miami_marlins_2019_2020_XXXXXX_XXXXXX and not this miami_marlins_2019-2020_XXXXXX_XXXXXX?

No they should be separated by hyphen

Just wanted to say I downloaded the zip file in the thread recommended by bwburke94 and the uni's look great! I downloaded them and put them in the jersey and ballcaps folders and easily auto-loaded all of them into my game. My 1982 random historic league looks great now!!

Will have to sim a few season to see if anything auto updates though.

Yes, the unis update automatically .. im playing historical sim and havent run into issues with the unis except with the Reds for some reason .. i dont remember which jersey file i downloaded since i got them a few versions ago ..
