WOW 22 Strikeouts

This just happened 5 minutes ago and I was shocked as I will ever get. When I saw on the BNN news report that he struckout 22 players Detroit is in 2nd place and San Francisco is in first place and is on a roll as well.
Am curious if anyone has gotten this or more ???

Good to see Javy Baez is still playing in 2097, although I see he had to move off SS to 1B.

This is unbelievable, r0nster! Does Bos have maximum stamina ability?

The current record in my MLB universe is 19 strikeouts, registered by the ace of my Indians team in 2041. I've never seen any more than that in-game. I believe Kerry Wood still holds the real-world record with 20 Ks in a game.

Have no clue if that's the max the stamina can go as I have never checked or even asked. However 2 games later after this one Bos was out for the season 6 months injury to his arm. Just glad I had a pitcher ready for the bigs at the time.
As for my game I have seen a few amazing records but this one I never expected to fall

Ah that's brutal, sorry to hear of his injury. Good thing though that it sounds like your farm system was well-prepared.

It must be in the water! In my current dynasty (going on nearly 40 years), this two games happened within two weeks of each other. Both guys have been excellent for a few years, but are just killing it this year. (I don't know their ratings off the top of my head, however.)

For me the weirdest parts are that Bos threw 152 pitches and the AI did not replace him with two outs in the ninth.

Batchelor got 3 hits and was the only guy in lineup to fan only once. And yet those three hits only brought his season average up to a buck eighty-two. Was he sent down after the game by the AI?

I am impressed 24 strikeouts and 22 strikeouts in your save. Soon we might find someone who found one who had 27 strikeouts in 9 innings crazy records falling as I love seeing them.fall as I have seen HR records fall career and season including
Strikeouts too

I saw 23 by Walter Johnson in a PT 2.0 Tournament game. I was shocked as could be as well, because he faced a pretty good lineup, & they weren't all hackers.

Wow, I have not anything close to that. I'm only in 2024, but the single game record since 2020 is 18 by...Alec Gamboa! He was a 2019 9th round pick of the Dodgers who finished the last season of real-life baseball in rookie ball.

Wow.I'm 95% sure I've never had anything close. I wonder if it has anything to do with playing a historical sim? 1981 start & currently 1989. I don't play out my team's games, but I usually try to take a look at every box score. My main point of interest in the box scores is the section with my pitchers. I want to make sure they're not getting over-worked, pulled too early, giving up too many hits or runs, etc.

The coolest thing I've seen with my pitchers is Randy Johnson threw a no-hitter in 1988 and within two weeks one of my AAA guys and a AA pitcher both threw no-hitters. I thought that was pretty cool.

That's pretty wild. May I ask you a question? 2097 is very far in the future. What year did your saved file begin? Did you start in 2070 or something like that? Or did you start in 2020? Either way, how the heck do you get through seasons so fast? One time I did Play > Auto Play Until... and chose Next Month. Auto-Play was interrupted every 2-3 days. The next season I did the same thing but enabled Do Not Disturb. It played a full month, but my clubhouse was in shambles. I knew I'd miss out on any trade offers, but everything basically went to hell. So, how can you sim seasons so quickly while really paying attention to your club's well-being?

Almost certainly

There weren't a lot of strikeouts (relatively, of course) in the late eighties and early nineties compared to today.

If r0nster started in any recent year it's likely that the stats in their game are "inflated". I think you'll notice the home run totals for players on July 29th look a bit different than yours from 1989 as well

i have been buying the game since 2000 but i learned in 2012 how to move the game forward. So this is started in 2012. I have seen the game go through the motions of stolen bases phase then it went into Home Run phase and right now its in the Strikeout Phase as it were. It be interesting to see where it goes next?? If i had to guess it will produce a few .400 hitters.

I just looked up Gamboa in my Rays save I currently have in 2022 and he's been released three times in the minors. It's funny how players develop differently in different worlds - the scouting report in my version on him says he isn't "someone who should be trusted in a close game, even in the minors". Ouch.

While I am thinking of it...they need to make a way so I can screenshot my WHOLE box score, so I am not cutting and pasting it and going through hoops to show it on a blog.
