Smile My game view

Tried something different with the pitch location widget. Thought it might take away from the game aesthetically, and yes, it looked a bit off at first but.... I find having the info in my face is really adding to my experience.
Hey, it all disappears when the action starts.

I wish I had the resolution to be able to pull of something like this! It's ugly but it works!

Here's mine - as a non manager. I have out of town games disabled so only the game I'm watching gets played. No need for Out of Town Scoreboard.

Having a big monitor is nice

Haven't played player pics turned on, might try it though.

Pretty similar setups I find it interesting that most, maybe all(?), users put the batter and pitcher in opposite corners. Yes, I am the outlier so probably "wrong" putting them over\under Too me it seems such a strain to move my eyes side to side across the monitor rather than a quick up down glance to see the match up. I do check the player widgets for every AB noting the batter's history vs the P, along with the obvious S\M\C, vs C,P, E and then have the spray chart right there too.

I suppose it's natural to you to view it "your way", the majority way and this doesn't bother you at all? I've never asked anyone, just being curious.

And yes, I couldn't play without the player pics. I love the immersion and on the score screen before games are played I tend to look at "today's pitchers" and try to recognize them before looking at their names

Yes, having a 32" monitor is great!

I think it's mostly that I just became accustomed to the default setting for the batter/pitcher and never tried it any other way.

I didn't really customize my screen very much until 20, and more so in 21. I didn't watch a lot of games prior to that, so the default always suited me when I did decide to watch one.

Now I watch multiple games every day, and it's fun having all that info right there at a glance.

I have enabled pics since this morn, I like the look. I may give a try at moving batter/pitcher and see how it feels.

Cheers

So after experimenting a bit more, this is what I've settled on. Tried the batter/pitcher thing for several games, but just couldn't get a feel for it. I like the visitor on the left n home on the right.

Having the big screen sure is a joy though - so many options.

Nice clean classic look BN. Yeah, a big screen is just awesome with OOTP.
Never imagined the game looking like this when I started back in 2002

No fair!! You've got a widescreen monitor...

That does look pretty cool. On my 18" laptop screen at 1920x1080, I couldn't try a set up like yours. It would be way too busy for my little screen. Imagine, 1920x1080 is considered a lower resolution for computer screens these days, according to game players.

I really used to have the space for so much on my screen that now my screen looks so packed.

I wish the widgets themselves were more configurable. I'd love some additional show/hide capabilities within the widget. More size options or sizable would be great. Also, I'd like to choose which widgets disappear during the play and which don't. Maybe a widget designer?

This is mine. I suppose it is relatively simple. I think about adding the strikezone, but I kind of like it as is.

Edit: I've attached how I have the pitch info when I use it. For some context to the images, I traded Grandal and Benintendi to the Dodgers for Betts (he returned to Boston for a season, then went back to LA before I got him). This is the World Series. I'm down 1-2 in the series. I just came out of a brutal 7 game series against the Indians that I started out down 0-3.

I made the trade because I thought Zach Collins would be adequate. Look at his batting average. He started every game this playoffs.

Luis Robert is carrying me through the playoffs. He just hit his 10th dong and now has 23 RBI's. The MLB records are 8 home runs by Barry Bonds (and a few other people) and 21 RBI's by David Freese in 2011. This isn't even his final form!

E: Added game recap for those interested. Robert hit another dong. Oh and I forgot to mention Arozarena, Andrew Chafin and Jeren Kendall were also acquired in various trades with me (not to mention all the prospects). This is kind of like the ghost of my team coming back to haunt me.

Can I ask what resolution you are running and is that a 32" monitor? Your view looks great and better than mine - I have an old computer that does 1920x1080 at best. Thinking of upgrading soon so knowing details of your setup would head me down the right path! Thanks!
