Online league: player signed MILB contract though MLB deal was offered

Hi devs,

I think I uncovered a potential bug. Please let me try to explain what I did to see if you can replicate it in another game/client.

We are using ootp21 for this online league, Ottoneu Lockdown League, and it is now February, '21 in-game after the start of preseason.

I had offered Mark Melancon a $2.5m major league offer. Which he favoured but hadn't yet accepted.

Then, before last sim, I went into the free agent list, created a filter for all pitchers with at least 45 potential and offered them each an MILB offer. Melancon was one that was mass-selected and offered an MILB deal.

A message appeared that an error occurred offering minor league deals melancon and two others who I had already extended deals to. Oops. My mistake.

Fast forward to the latest save and now Melancon has agreed to the MILB offer that failed to be sent due to the existing, favoured, MLB offer.

He had emailed thanking me for the first offer before the mass-milb offer he was included on. I got the error message, seemingly blocking the milb deal, and I did not cancel the MLB Deal that stood, which I noted was still listed in the pending offers tab. There was an email expressing dismay followed by another email saying the deal was completed.

Thoughts? Care to try to replicate it? Shouldnt I be on the hook for the mlb offer? Melancon wouldn't have signed a minor league deal at this point yet, would he? I think I may have inadvertently tricked the AI into accepting a minor league deal after attracting interest with the mlb offer. All the others on the mass-offer rejected the milb deal at this time, fwiw.
