auction spam

Fairly new here, so I may have missed past discussions, but am I the only one that thinks that something should be done to moderate/regulate the auction house by OOTP?

Number of other mentions in this forum on overpriced cards, and e.g. last couple days, someone has been putting up 12 cards worth 5-15K for 80K repeatedly. Many other extraordinarily inflated prices, solely to invite a misclick or mistake. SE editions listed for typical price of a Legend card. This shouldn't happen, and the auction house shouldn't feel like a minefield.

Moderation is a tough thing, one man's overpriced listing could be the card someone else needs. But purposely trying to fool people is clearly abuse.

One idea is that auction items should have the seller name listed in the detail. Then at least I can know who I should be cursing when scrolling through - or worse, buying by mistake. Any other thoughts in this regard?

I see those, laugh and move on. To each his own, but I enjoy the game my way and don't worry about other people.

The OP has a point, one that few seem to be considering.

He's a new player, as will be many more. I see a LOT of frustration coming as newbies attempt collection missions and grow frustrated with the inability to complete so many missions due to Silver players being priced higher than Gold players in the auction house.

If people think new players will say to themselves, "Hey, I can get past this by buying a lot of Perfect Points with real money", well consider that concept hogwash.

IMO, this a bad situation for the state of PT. I don't know the answer, only that it is real concern for the future.

If that's a big issue, you can always fill in the "maximum price" field for your AH search. This will filter out stuff you don't want to consider.
