MVP Baseball - Openings starting 2020 offseason

MVP Baseball Online just completed the 2020 season, about to enter the 2020 Offseason.

This league was created because I was tired of playing in online leagues that suffer from:

- Over-Trading
- Unrealistic Trading
- Fantasy Baseball Rules / Teams

The league will mirror an MLB experience and looking for GM’s who are looking to do the same.

This means as an example, a GM who comes in to take over the Angels is looking out for the best interest of the Angels. Not to trade Trout because they want to blow the team up and rebuild or make any unrealistic moves that would never happen in real MLB. Or to rebuild a team just because. There should be realistic realism behind trades and signings, not just we're not winning the world series so I want to trade my best player for a bunch of prospects.

This league functions by a committee of appointed GM’s who will ensure league health and realism.

Any changes to the league rules or additions, will be voted on by the entire league, as long as these changes fall within realism of an MLB Experience.

Trades will be limited, to preserve the integrity of the league. This means that a GM cannot come in and immediately blow up a roster. We will vote and figure out rules to ensure that there are methods behind moves that are being made. With the bigger moves happening closer to the trade deadline

There will be no huge immediate trades (Ex: I’ve seen Max Scherzer, DeGrom, etc. traded before the season even started in some leagues). Teams are encouraged to see how the season unfolds and pivot from there (win-now, sell, rebuild mode closer to the trade deadline).

This is a great league if you enjoy Sim baseball and active owners.

A+ from me, even though I had to drop out for work reasons. Would def recommend.

This is an awesome league! I have been playing OOTP solo for 10 years but this was my first time doing an online league. Commish is awesome! Great detail in making this league and I have had an amazing time! I would recommend this league to anyone who loves baseball and OOTP.

Greetings, all!

I wanted to add my .02 about this league that Jonathan runs.

Its an efficiently run league, with extensive, however clear rules in place in order to maintain competitive balance and organizational integrity throughout all the teams in the league.

The league gets through about a month every 1 week IRL, so its excellent for dedicated GMs.

If you're like me and really only have time for a couple of leagues - I'd recommend MVP Baseball without hesitation.

Not sure what happened with previous GM, but really like this league. Very realistic.

This league definitely has a good bit of realism to it and the commissioner has done a great job of managing the league. I'd definitely recommend this league to anyone interested.

May not be for everyone because of the rules, but that's kinda the idea and it shouldn't be a surprise, it's right there in the first post. It's a well run league and runs on a consistent basis as scheduled and has been a good experience so far

I think this league is an absolute blast! If you are looking for a challenge this is the place to be! This league has made me a better GM and I will benefit from that in the long run. If you want a fake fantasy like experience then look for something else but if you want a challenging realistic league with smart and active GM's MVP is for you!

The commish has always been available for all of my question and runs things pretty smoothly.
