I'm afraid most of that comment is pretty much universal

yep.

Are there stats to show how many cards exist, and how many of which card exists. PSA does this for real baseball cards.

So, maybe you will miss me (like a looter missing everything gone at the Apple store), however why do you think so many people complain about this. Is every single one a sore loser?

And since Bailey personally attacked me... I just want to ask Bailey HOW MUCH REAL MONEY YOU REALLY SPENT? What is a lot to you? How is your World of Warcraft character doing?

And dkgo, sorry not everyone has so much positive to say as you do. How much were you paid to reply to me?

Nice big thought but no. If that was the case you would know you weren't witty. But then you would be on the top of the dunning-kruger graph. Just saying.

How can no one be on my side however I didn't create this thread?

What attack did I make?

As far spending, I spent the money that most people spend on cable TV annually plus 1 movie channel and cigarettes, or about the same as some folks spend going to Las Vegas "to make their contribution". What do you spend money on that others could laugh at or think a fool for doing so?

But, before you really go, I would you be so kind to tell if you completed the live missions and if not, why not? If you did, why are you having trouble in any level except diamond?

Makes no sense to me. I realize talent gets better, but there are 15+ bagwells at the top of the leader boards.

Yup, ditto and yes

Same boat...I did go to bed last night watching my team rip off 7 in a row against the top teams in my conference and get within sniffing distance of .500 I just get home now and find them 10 games out and lost something like 12 out of 16 to teams worse than me

Doesn't make any sense....Win 10 in a row...lose 12 in a row...win 2 lose 8 in a row...win 10 in a row. But teams with the *exact* same players 74-25 lmao

I'm not sure why people would pay 100K plus in PP for a player just to see him hit .256 with 12 dingers and 78 ribbies...but they do

BUT I actually feel for those guys with the 3-12 Maddux lol

I started the thread and I stand by everything I said and agree with you. I know the company has to make money but charging 40 bucks for a game and then making you spend hundred and hundreds of dollars to compete at the highest level... that's just wrong.

I'm sure the computer will favor someone from time to time and they'll sneak in, but I have no chance vs the teams that have 100's across the board.

I don't care if I ever hit the higher ranks, I just want to play on a equal playing field. You can't call this game F2P, it's because it's not. It's P2W.

You are paying $40 for the baseball simulation that has been around for 20 years and constantly improving. PT is a free add-on. Now, maybe you have no interest in the base game, so it seems like you paid $40 for PT. Why is it the responsibility of a gaming company to enable you play at the highest level? Is chess a bad game because you cannot be a grandmaster? (Even some "grandmasters" can't compete at the highest level, BTW). There are 1500+ "grandmasters" so the title is kind of watered down. Is that what you want for PT? A watered down perfect league like existed in PT20?

The ratings may be the same, but what strategy is being used by the team and on the individual players? Is that guy that can't hit lefties only playing against righties? Are they all using identical lineups? Are their relief pitchers in the same roles?

There are lots of things you can do under the hood to tweak your 'same players as everyone else' to perform better.

You can compete up to Diamond with a F2P team. You just have to work at it. At the Perfect level, then probably not. So leave that level to the big spenders and enjoy competing elsewhere.

First off, I would never play a grandmaster in chess. I'd lose, and I'd lose bad. If I paid said grandmaster of chess 40 dollars to beat my in 10 turns I'm the chump. On the same hand I said I could care less if I ever reach the perfect league. I was having fun in my own little pond, never won a league, I only won one division. I was having fun until I ran into the buzzsaw of the people who obviously spent hundreds to crack packs. Don't get me started on the one Jeff Bagwell on every team angle, that's just shoddy gameplay.

You're trying to tell me that I'm paying for the game, but only part of the game, and that part of the game is... No clue what point you're trying to make. I figured there would be lootboxes (The packs) to get better, but there is absolutely no balance. If you played other online games, and I don't think you do, the lambs are in different brackets than the lions.

All I want to do is play against other people in my range. I don't care if I win, I'm not asking to win, I just want to not have the every other week yo-yo.

By putting me into a league with teams chock full of 100's it's an obvious attempt by the game makers to get me to spend more to better compete. It's a normal thing in games... but do not call this F2P because it is not.

So whatever. Even when I wasn't complaining and just asking for advice, this community has been pretty crappy. Nobody offers advice, all the say is you're doing something wrong, get better cards. It least that's the vibe in the discord.

This game is as P2W as any other game on the net.

I just played a team where only one player of the position player was different. Seems like quality of players not here this year. A 100 pitcher is basically trash this year. I'm losing 100 game a year with 5 100 Non-Live pitchers they are nothing remotely good

To be fair, the players (cards) are just part of the game. Other factors include your ballpark settings, the ways in which you use the players, the price of the hotdogs (or sushi, if you rep Seattle) at your home field, and whether or not you sacrifice a black goat on the full moon. Well, I'm sure of all of those except for the part about hot dogs.

Seriously, this is my first year playing, and I'm only now just realizing how important the ballpark itself is. Get a lefty-heavy staff, and then make your park as unfriendly as you can to RHBs. Or push your walls back, hire a staff of groundball pitchers, and make sure you have really good up the middle defense. Or play around with it to make sure that you can pop off HRs like celebs pop off Twitter opinions, and then rake in the PP. Lots of different things to look at, rather than just bemoan the fact that your Bagwell is ranked 14th of 23 in HRs by Bagwells in your league.

If you buy a Maserati and then only put 89 octane fuel in the tank, don't complain when it runs like crap compared to all your neighbors' Maseratis.
