So this is my first year playing PT. Ignored it for as long as I could, lol but I am really enjoying it. My question is: As the seasons unfold, do new missions appear that make use of cards not currently in a mission. Eg, Lew Burdette. Great card, not in a mission. I dont have to sell him, but I wondered if he became part of a mission, then his value would likey rise, yes?

Yes, but Burdette might not necessarily become part of a mission.

Thank you. I realize that about Burdette, he was just an example.

Yes, new missions appear which can use existing cards not previously part of a mission. Yes, those cards will rise in value.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Pre-collecting cards in anticipation of the cards being in a mission was easy in PT20, but there were pitfalls, like pre-collecting the Giants was a waste. Then sometimes you pre-buy a diamond and it is in a collection, but not required to complete the collection.

Pre-collecting in PT21 is much harder. You can, for example, if you have a solid knowledge of baseball, attempt to pre-collect cards likely to be in the TOTD series.

Thanks for that. Im not really pre-collecting so much as I was pondering on selling a card, and noticed the button to check collections. That got me to thinking.

Personally, I try not to sell any Non-Live Cards Silver and Up that arent included in missions. I would keep Burdette for Gold Tourneys anyways

Yes. That was what I decided. Now, if I could only win more than 2 tourneys every four weeks, lol....
