Game trades my future stars

I see the game still makes crazy trades where they will sign an ageing veteran for a young superstar. Is there a way to set players as untouchable where the game won't trade them...thanks in advance

By "they", I assume you mean other teams are dealing prospects away to each other and not that your team is involved, right?

Under Game Settings --> Ai Settings, there are numerous settings you can try though I'm not sure how many apply to Ai-Ai trades. Maybe set the Trading Preference to Heavily Favors Prospects and see if that helps?

I am playing where the computer does the trades, but they trade away future allstars for ageing veterans, i would like it if you say a player is untouchable that they can't be traded. I play historical mainly. This has always been a problem with historical players as we know who does and doesn't become great players. I usually always decide trades but i would like to manage a team where the computer makes trades but can't handle lopsided trades....thanks

right click player then trade options then untouchable.

Unless you are controlling trades the computer will trade away players you say are untouchable...

It really does i would like the computer to make trades as i have the advantage in knowing how players turn out(playing historical). It really would be great if you could check untouchable and that would be it. I was playing the Blue Jays and the computer traded and got Carlos Delgado for a over the hill player 36 years old and that was on hard... Maybe Markus could code it for historical play to make untouchable's untouchable. Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, it is a small issue. It is hard to make good trade when you know ahead of time how good the player is going to be. Everyone be safe and have a great day....
