Expansion teams/relocation ?

I am the Cleveland Indians GM/manager in 2020. Without me doing anything, has anyone seen an expansion team added to the default league ?
Or relocation?

If you have automatic evolution on you can see rules changed and teams added or relocated

Please tell me where I may find that. I didn't change any settings when I started. TY

-Click on "Game" at top of main screen - choose game settings
- Click on League Settings tab, then Options tab
- See top left under "Dynamically Evolving League"

Can I do this during a season and not affect where I am in the season ?
Have you seen expansion and/or relocations ?

I don't believe it would have any impact on current season as all of those choices related to an evolving league would be implemented after the season is over. I have seen the ai do expansions and relocations both, though infrequently. If you are playing in commissioner mode, you can do either one manually during any offseason you choose.

I've had the Royals relocate to Austin and change their name, plus the Marlins change their name in just 3+ seasons.

I only play expansion teams, so I usually handle organic expansion myself, but I have seen the Marlins move to Jacksonville and the KC Royals become the KC Wingnuts in my league.

I've heard (can't verify because I've only ever played historical, and never after a year that doesn't have historical stats available - which is basically fictional) that you can get wonky rule changes too. Probably best to leave it off, and then manually expand/contract when you want to.

I had a game where I expanded the league, teams were the Portland Beavers and the New Orleans Hurricanes, I was controlling the Beavers and after 3 abysmal seasons my owner decided to move the team to San Antonio.
