Talking What's your weirdest non-baseball related injury?

I have to say, some of the ones I've seen are hysterical.

This one isn't the oddest I've seen, but my partner's first instinct was to say, "Is he 4 years old??"

I don't have a screenshot of it and it might not be exactly what you're looking for, but I looked at a player's injury history today and he missed a couple of weeks with a virus...in his right arm.

Roberto Arredondo Has Accident: Playing time will have to take a backseat to rehab time for Roberto Arredondo, starting pitcher of the Tulsa Drillers, who suffered a concussion while helping an old lady cross the street. His recovery time will be about 11-12 months.
Now the question is...did he get hit by a car or did the old lady hit him with her purse for trying to help her?!

Not an injury, but according to a news item I received the AI just killed off Nationals owner Tom Lerner in May 2021.

Granted, the guy was 95, but still.

Yikes, 11-12 months for a concussion. Hopefully it was a car or maybe the old lady had bricks in her purse.

Here are some real baseball odd injuries. I am Tigers fan so the Zumaya injuring himself while playing Guitar Hero is the first one that I thought of when I read the post.

Not a Baseball Injury, but Roger Federer needed knee surgery after bathing his kids.

My favorite in-game injury was a minor league pitcher of mine that injured his shoulder illegally drag racing one of his buddies. How hard was he steering!!?!??

My favorite real life baseball injury still has to be Glenallen Hill who woke up from a nightmare about spiders chasing him, and in a frightened semiconscious state fell through a glass table.

It seems as though once a year I have a player get injured when he falls off the roof of a barn.

I had a dude out for 5 months, then retire due to complications, after being scratched by his cat.

I also had a dude out for about a month due to food positioning.

Most if not all of the in game off field injuries are based on real events.

A prospect got injured after fighting with his dad.

My favorite "story" is a guy who got traded, then a few days later at a team picnic with his new guys a grill blows up in his face and he's out for a couple of months. "Welcome to the team!"

I got an email saying that Felipe Vazquez aggravated his "restricted list" injury.

In my world, the Blue Jays had a player go down from a "freak treadmill accident" that caused them to look at the equipment in their training room, note that a lot of it was faulty, and replace it all with new stuff.
