Team Names Don't Show On Player Photos

I have searched the game manual, but did not find any help there.

I originally posted this problem on the OOTP Graphics Forum, but got no answers... decided to try to get help here.

Just converted from OOTP19 to OOTP20 to OOTP21.

Team Names are not showing on the Player Photos on some teams... see screenshots.

I have never had a problem like this in all of the previous versions.

What controls this?
How do you fix it?

Here are the team settings on the team graphics page.

What is a Jersey Logo?
What is a Ballcap Logo?
Should I leave these two sections empty?... as you can see I placed a Jersey and a Cap in them hoping that would fix it... they were originally blank.
How do you create a Jersey Logo to place here?
How do you create a Cap Logo to place here?

I have only created Logos, Jerseys and Caps... never Jersey Logos or Ballcap Logos.

I found the answer to these questons… if you use custom jerseys and caps, you remove the jersey logo and the cap logo … click "Remove".

Does this page have any control?
I updated and regenerated all player photos, but it didn't solve the problem.

What does "Create Logo and Picture Preview (This League)" do?

I think is the OOTP Start Screen when you select your league or open up the game.

Have no idea of what all this means and what it affects.

mars001, you might be right.

I went into Face Gen and set the photos to zoom out... they were set at the Normal level.

Will see if this corrects it?

The default is Normal... you have to select Zoom Out to show more of the jersey.

You will have to change the settings for each team in the league that is not zooming out the photos so the team name will show.... I could not find a global change anywhere.

Does anyone know what this button does?

What does the "Lock team logos and textures (prevents auto-update when game is loaded) button do?

Should it be checked or unchecked?

Would this button checked stop the photos from being updated?

Would appreciate your help.

I think the setting in the File menu shown above (File > Settings) is just the default for when pictures are generated. I think (didn't try it) you can force the game to regenerate the pictures with the function on the Game > Game Settings > Players & Facegen page. There are functions to "Generate/Update All Player Pictures" and "Force Update/Generate All Player Pictures" and "Generate New Player Pictures". Honestly, not sure which is the correct one, but one of those should work.

Still would like to know what this button does on the team logo, jersey screen.

Sorry to be such a dunce, but this is confusing to me.

I would like the AI not to change my team photos, jerseys and caps settings.

Keep in mind, when you change the zoom, it does not take affect until a new image is created. So any player that already had an image, will maintain that image unless you create a new one or the game does.


The simplest way is to do a league wide force picture update after changing the zoom. This will create new pictures for all players at the new setting.

You did it one team at a time, which is fine, but it's also possible to just do the whole league in one shot.

Tried to generated photos using this screen... this was the first thing I tried, but it did not work... manually changing each team's graphics settings is the only thing that worked.

All is well now... you and Bluenoser helped me fix it.

That was the first thing I tried... it did not work... had to change it manually for each team.

I used the "Update/Generate All Player Pictures" the first time... it didn't fix the problem.

Then I used "Force Update/Generate All Player Pictures"... this did not work.

Just a thought: maybe the fact that I checked "Lock team logos and textures " may have not allowed the AI to update the pictures.

Bluenoser, thank you for taking your time to help me... I know I can be a pain at times due to my lack of knowledge of computers and some of the workings of OOTPB.

I will leave the box checked, so the AI will not change my settings when it loads up the game.

Thanks to you and mars001, I think my photos will show the team names.
