Imported Players disappear from FA list / draft pool after editing?
I've had this happen repeatedly, no idea why some players disappear and some don't.
1) Created 1915 historical league, set up for inaugural fantasy draft. 2) Imported 40 historical players to a team, cloned them to create "clean" free agent versions; deleted the 40 imported players from the team. 3) renamed each one of the clones to represent a Negro League player active that season. (at this point, all 40 still appeared in the FA list and also in the fantasy draft pool, so everything looked good). 4) I then began editing each player, changing birth date/place and certain ratings as needed. I also zeroed out all service history. I did not change any of the player historical id's. Of the first 10 players I edited, 6 of them DISAPPEARED from both the FA list and the Draft Pool (the other 4 are showing correctly). I can still search for them and find/open/edit them, and I was able to assign them to a team, but nothing I did subsequently has made them return to either of the player lists. I tried releasing them; rescheduling the draft; cloning the players a second time. A) what am I doing wrong? Why are only some of the players disappearing? B) Is there any way to force the missing ones back into the fantasy draft pool, like can I export/re-import the completed players to restore them? An example of what I am trying to do: I imported Stan Musial 1941 (musiast01,1941,CLE) and renamed him to Oscar Charleston. After I went in and modified some of his ratings, and made him into a CF, his record was corrupted somehow and he no longer displays in the lists as described above. |

I thought of that, too, but some African players did not disappear and some that I called Hispanic did disappear.

how about using Oscar Charleston from the minor league database to create your personal Oscar Charleston rather than editing a white feller. you could edit hisownself to become whomever you want him to be

1) A number of older players that I wanted to include aren't in the minor league db;
2) I wanted to 'pair' each player with a similar mlb player, rather than relying on the minor league talent translations that are baked into the db. |

2 - the db only contains stats - choices the user makes for his game turns those into ratings. every user can choose their own set of "talent translations".
