Max defensive rating possible when training players?

This is my first year playing OOTP 21, and I'm loving PT 21! Here's my question:

Is there any way to determine the max defensive rating a player can achieve at a position?

For example, I have the Special Edition Ichiro card, which has no defensive rating in LF when you acquire him. I put him there to train, and now he's up to a 106. Is there any way I can tell if he hit his max defensive rating there?
