Minor League Sweep
Never noticed this before but just had a Minor League Sweep of 1st place finished all 9 minor league Philadelphia teams finished 1st place. 4 went on to win their championships.
I was really hoping for an all Philly DSL championship, both teams were favorite but got bounced early. Disappointing. Not sure if this happens often or if I just never pay attention. But I was pretty psyched as my rookie teams are usually pretty awful. I would love to hear someone's tale about sweeping all of the minor league championships that sounds pretty epic to me. |

Funny that you say this, oddly enough in my Mets season all the teams from AAA-Low A are in 1st or 2nd, and I don't recall seeing that before... and I'm really not paying much attention to stocking the minors as I'm only really interested in playing out this year in this particular save. In unrelated things I've never seen before and have seen, the other day Eduardo Escobar got 5 hits in a game on back-to-back days, which seems improbable, and in the last game I played my team and the other team hit 3 back to back homers in the top and bottom of an inning. I get that baseball does the improbable particularly when we are all collectively doing mass randomizations but it still struck me as odd.

My last two years all of my minor league teams from AAA to A finished in 1st place. Some went on to lose in the playoffs but I thought it was pretty cool to seem all of them have success. I believe it helps out the younger players when they experience success in the minors.
My MLB team has been dreadful though. Finished 75-87 in 2021 and 2022 was supposed to be the big year where we competed with the Astros and Angels for the division and we find ourselves at 37-52 and in last place. Injuries have depleted my team and my big offseason additions to the offence (Yelich and Tetsudo Yamada) have fizzled and despite our pitching being decent, our complete lack of an offence has cost us too many games. We rank last again in most of the offensive categories. Sigh. You really have to love OOTP..... |

Wonder if it is because it is easier to find coaches this year with the new filters/columns. I almost have all excellent development coaches in the entire system except my 2 DSL teams. I was never able to find more then a couple in previous versions. I put the max into development budget as well. Maybe it's a combo of those 2 thins in OOTPb 21?
