Expanding minor leagues only

I expanded to Montreal and Vancouver for the 2031 season. I used the wizard to setup the minor league organizations, and that worked ok (I had to change where the teams went because the wizard put the rookie league teams in different leagues, leaving an odd number in two leagues. The game would not progress, so I had to fix that).

Now I'd like to add a GCL team for each of Montreal and Vancouver (they have Pioneer league teams). I used the league edit tool to do that.

However, now there is no way to assign these two teams to the Montreal or Vancouver organizations. I can see the 'Parent Team ID' on the Settings page. It is set to '0' and there is no way to edit that. There is no place on the edit league structure screen to assign (or change) parent team IDs.

Am I stuck here with no way to accomplish this?

Go to the GCL league settings and click on the League & Teams tab. Should allow you to affiliate them with the correct teams.

Go to league settings- league & teams- should be drop down menus to choose affiliate.

Nope. Not an option.

As I said in my OP, that's the first place I looked. And where I added the teams.

That's the answer. Why you can't do that from the edit league tab is irksome, at best. Obviously that is when one wants to do this.

You were looking at the TEAM settings, not the League....but either way, you found it.
