I have Jim Edmonds in his last year and wants to re-sign but I need to clear payroll somehow. Greg Maddux was out for the year and is willing to sign a 1 year extension for about half price. I was hoping I could restructure this year's contract, his last year, then tack on a year to make up for it. Can I and how?
