There are some cool ideas here.
I admit however, that I am at the point where I would like to see the 3D take another step forward. Not just the correct animations, but the player models and stadiums. I am not expecting MLB the Show type graphics, just another step forward from what we have. I know, I know, it is not the heart of the game, but for a lot of folks who play-out all of their games, or many of their games, it is a big part of how we experience OOTP. |

and to "piggyback"....what about news stories indicating a player is struggling...but there does need to be ways to communicate to both players and staff. |

It would be really nice to get more reports from your minor league staff about how players are performing, if they are over their head, maybe a coach thinks a player deserves to be promoted. Why am I not hearing from my scouting director that Player XYZ has been playing out of his mind the last two weeks in AA, why don't we try and acquire him from Team XYZ? There just are a ton of small things to add to make your "world" feel much more alive than it is now. |

I'd also like to see more refined international leagues (including winter leagues) which have all of the up to date rules.
Correct posting systems...and the ability to have 35 (or what ever number) man rosters with 25 (or whatever you want) active. |

Some great ideas IMO.
I wish there was a "like" button on these forums. |

Another idea I just came up with.
Anyone here me on this? I find myself getting PISSED sometimes at free agents who won't sign with me. Mainly guys who never played for my team but sometimes even guys who did. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a "talk trash" option or some way to let them know they pissed me off or "I told you so" after they get way less money than I offered them. Even a drop down menu you could do a few times a year (get a certain number?) just like my idea of having a certain number of communications with your owner. Is this dumb or does anyone else ever feel this way? |

I know there are leagues that have a "my-player mode" but would be cool if there was a "my-player mode" integrated into the game where you create your player based on a set of prototypes, attributes and what not. Then you can be able to do any of the in-game options to control your players career and progress, in a simulated way.

What do I know about better 3-D animations when I don't have a clue about what a better 3-D animation would be or how to make it better? Like asking for a better jet engine when I don't know what the best one already is...lol |

I'm not a big play out games person though. The only thing off about 3D to me is the syncing of the action. Not sure if that classifies as an animation. But the sync is off especially when its base running and hits to the outfield. You just get weird sync issues with the relay guy holding onto the ball while someone goes 2b to home or some silly nonsense. The animations themselves were fine on a play like that. Just completely out of sync. I would say its extremely common. Runners on base and a hit to the outfield most of the time it doesn't sync well. It immediately takes you out of the action. Running through a wall or a bad catch animation I can live with cause my brain recognizes it as a game glitch but the syncing issues they are just to jarring. |

Hahahha touche on "doesn't seem healthy"
I just mean I get ticked for about 15 seconds. It would just be fun to trash talk and add that layer. Might help somehow establish rivalries, too |

Please give us the option to link team histories to expansion teams! I want the Expos to pick up their team history, and not have to start from scratch.

Would love to see expanded records and stat-tracking in Association Modes. I doubt it's something that's a priority given that only a certain percentage of OOTP players use fictional leagues and a even smaller percentage of those probably use the Associations feature, but I would love to more record-keeping ability there. At a minimum I'd like to have Association play statistics tracked and Association playoff awards given out, but also would love to see a page that has the statistical leaders for a single season and all-time based on regular season play within any league included in an association.
Also, I would kill to have a development model where you can assign tasks to coaches and allocate money towards specific things. For example, I'd love to be able to have X% of my budget go towards getting that top prospect to focus on that changeup that won't develop and try to get over the hump. Maybe there could be a way to split the dev budget up between generic offseason training and then have an in-season budget where you can assign dev priorities as they arise. |
