Out of options issue/bug?

Hi I'm running into the following scenario..

Player A uses his last option in 2020.

Player A is out of options in 2021.

Player A starts 2021 in the minors+40 man roster with the out of options indicator on the transactions page.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you are out of options you must be on the Active roster and can not be in the minors to begin with without going thru waivers.

Is this an oversight in the game or am I missing something?

I dont do spring training so this is all during the regular season.

Interesting I wonder if that is why this weird glitch in the matrix is happening.

Your entire 40 man gets called up for spring training and then on opening day you have to send everyone down since your roster size is only 25/26/x instead of 40/60. Then that player should have got a message can't send down out of options waiver and dfa him.

But perhaps since you don't have spring training if the player who is out of options ends the previous season the minors and the new season he is in the minors then there is no check on him to see if he is out of options.

That is my guess at least

That makes sense... they should make it so that your entire 40 man roster is active come 1/1... I'll probably just turn on spring training next season to keep it realistic in that sense..
