The Football Quickstart

It is finally here: the first quickstart for OOTP based on the American football leagues. At least, as far as I know, it's the only one that exists out there.

The QS is composed of the NFL, all of the FBS teams, a ton of random HS teams that don't exist in real life, and the XFL, even though that sadly no longer exists. The QS starts in 2019, not 2020, primarily because I don't think that there are going to be any football games held this year at all, and also because I wanted to keep the Chargers playing in Dignity Health Sports Park forever.

The league doesn't have any real players in it, in any league, although it has basically everything else, from schedules, although I had to improvise some with the FBS games against FCS teams, to stadiums, to logos, and even to head coaches.

I'm also planning to add some additional features in the coming months, including:

• Quarterbacks (starting pitchers) for each and every team
• The CFL and a few Canadian colleges like McGill
• A more revisioned and realistic HS league structures

Edit: I just fixed a ton of problems with the quickstart, like HS players being drafted and NFL players getting 50-60 million per year contracts, to start

Credits to gmo, although these files start in April, so you're going to have to edit the text documents for them so that they all start at the beginning of September. The month start is on the first line for each scheule document.

Good project. Real guys would be good in the future for NFL but waiting for NFL Game to come out same with if a Basketball,Hockey,Soccer Leagues were made. Arena Bowl in the future?

I've been waiting for quite a while for FOF9, and in the meantime I decided to create this to interest me until FOF comes out.

Nice! Thanks for releasing this. Tons of people create their own leagues, some with very unique concepts, but sadly very few seem to take the very easy steps of sharing them as quickstarts.

This also reminds me of my quickstart, Big Game Baseball. It's a world with fictional team's, but similar concept with the football style format and only one game a week, so teams primarily have one starting pitcher/"quarterback". I love the concept and it's worked pretty well. Mine is only in v19 and v20, but I'm planning to import and release a new one for v21 soon too.

Once you release v21, I might give a run at it.
