OK, so they're supposed to be there? I can't hide them? How do I "unlock" the player indicators so that I can move them a little?

Not sure on how to move them, but I'd say it's good to have them there. You can see who is a Gold Glove award winner. Means they're an elite fielder

To to the options page sure or before game, in the middle section there is a option for setting labels, not sure what it is exactly called but select that.

The defense rating tells you more about who's an elite fielder than the gold glove icon.

Yes, I was thinking much the same thing when I read this.
While it helps give you some idea about a player's history, the fact is that they might have won this gold glove award many years prior and at this point might be merely an adequate, or even worse, fielder at the position. It helps add color to the story, but isn't a great indicator of present value and shouldn't be used for that purpose.

Right click mouse and maintain down to move player tags. Remember that you have to move them for both day and night or they will rearrange to default location when games changes from day to night. I usually set them during a game and then use the copy/paste feature to make sure the day and night setting are exactly the same.
