Amateur Drafted Players after Round 5 are Released

Settings
- Fictional League
- No Feeders
- 25 round Amateur Draft
- "Number of Draft Rounds to Negotiate" set to 5
- "Slot Bonus Baseline" set to $1M

Issue
After the Draft, all 25 rounds worth of players show-up in "Negotiate with Draft Picks" section. Once "Draft Pick Signing Deadline" is reached these players get released instead of getting assigned to Minors.

File has been uploaded as NBL.zip

If they show up in the negotiate with picks section, then you need to sign them to contracts. Did you give them offers?

But they shouldn't show up there. They were drafted after round 5 and shouldn't require offers.

Players who request a somewhat significant amount of money can still require offers for them. Most players won't, but generally speaking, very hard or impossible to sign players may still require an offer.

Every single player Drafted in every round on every team??? That's not how it has worked in the past and kinda makes the "Number of Rounds to Negotiate" setting useless.

I never played before OOTP21, but in my MLB save, I routinely get 10-15 HS players drafted after the first 5 rounds, and they all want $500-600k.

Yeah, this change caught me off guard as well. I agree that it makes that number of rounds to negotiate setting useless.

The only guys that used to show up here were the H.S. players that were "Impossible" to sign because they were going on to College. Now it's everyone, from "Easy" to sign to "Impossible". It's broken.

If you have no feeders, you're reserve roster will stop at 200 players, not including your active roster and your injured list.

The only way to fix this without minor leagues, is to release your 30-40 worst players the day of the draft.

I have minor leagues, this has nothing to do with it.

Just happened to go through another draft in my league.

I took a player with "Hard" signability in Round 7 and he signed automatically once the draft completed.

Based on this I'm assuming it's only "Very Hard" and "Impossible" players who will still need to be negotiated with after Round 5 now, as opposed to previous versions of the game where it was only "Impossible" players who wanted to be haggled with after Round 5.

This is just based on my experiment during this one draft, however, so take it with a grain of salt.

Yes, there's a rare time that a "hard" player may require to be signed, and not necessarily every "Very Hard" player will either.
