Would you use your Closer if he was at 71%
I almost never use my relievers if they aren't "green" from a rest standpoint. Do you ever use a non-rested pitcher?

Depends on situation and if I have an off day the next day.

Like many thing is OOTP, and the world at large, it involves looking at alternatives and consequences. What are my other options? How vital is the game? What's the strength of my opponent? Etc |

Thanks for the replies. I'm always worried it is going to increase chance for injury too much. But, I think I'll try being less conservative in key situations.
I'll also try to pay more attention to what the AI does? I've seen them start tired position players (something else I rarely do), but not sure about relievers/closers. |

Yes. No guarantee that you would need your closer the next game.

You ask two different questions.
Closer at 71%? - Yes, but if I, say, faced a weak team or a weak portion of the lineup, or I'm up by three, or I have an opposite-handed pitcher fully rested, or a combo of those, I might take another guy. Non-rested pitchers? - Of course. You can't never send them out back-to-back days. The results will be worse if you only use two or three relievers were day instead of trying to squeeze the most out of them.

Yes. Especially at the start of the inning. Also, I get up somebody in the pen just in case.

rarely & only if I have to.
I carry a big bullpen so I try not to use anyone less than 90%. I usually have 1-2 at 100%.

Again, thanks for all of the replies. I like hearing how others manage these situations.
