Mashpee Pilots

In order to supply all 24 teams with minor leagues, I decided to up the CCBL to 12 teams (to go alongside the other 12-team AA league). First expansion went to Mashpee, who were named for the nearby Otis Air National Guard Base. It's a pretty simple design, the P comes from the nickname project, and then I just layered a baseball over some stock wings. Manchester's AA team.

Orleans Firebirds

Orleans has stayed so consistent with their jerseys that I didn't need to change much from when I made them a few years back. I appreciated that! Orleans in my game is the AA affiliate of the Worcester Devils.

Sandwich Gulls

Named for the everpresent seagulls on Sandwich Beach, the Gulls are the second of the two added teams to the CCBL, and the affiliate of the River Rats. The logo is a straight rip of the San Diego Gulls' old logo (minus the hockey stick), because I quite liked it. Everything else was pulled straight from that logo.

Absolutely beautiful work, Fyrestorm3.
Thanks for sharing it.
I just spent the last 30 minutes going through the whole thread and admiring your fine work.

I wish I had seen this thread when I was starting up my North Island and South Island dynasty leagues.
I could easily have gotten 12 teams... all done with great images, great fonts and great choices colors.

Wareham Gatemen

Does it bother anyone else that the Gatemen use separate fonts for their main logo, alt logo, and jersey script? Only me? ...Probably stems from having to try and replicate all of them. Fair warning - I am probably going to redesign this team at some point. They're too similar in color scheme to the Braves for my liking. But for now, I'm just recreating, so the Coyotes' affiliate will stay navy/maroon.

No, you are not alone... I'm a nit picker, too.

Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox

Last but not least! Though I included their old red cap (now an alternate), I'm actually a real big fan of the new hat that YD wears, with the white front. It's helping to make them more distinct and less of a direct rip of Boston. As they're based out of Yarmouth, I naturally gave them to the major league team that's also in Yarmouth, the Cape Cod Sharks.

That's it for the CCBL. Zip file is below and has been added to the first post.

Full set download

Next up is the other 12-team AA league, the Interstate League. These will obviously be full customs.

Wareham Gatemen 2

Actually before I get to the other league, I decided to just go ahead and make a slight alteration to the Gatemen. Didn't change anything except the colors - the Navy became black, and I splashed in some grey to give them a more unique color scheme. The zip file above has the faithful recreation, but I'm going to use this one in my game.

Interstate League

I quite like the little logo I threw together for this league. The IL consists of two divisions - Division 91 and Division 95, each with 6 teams situated more or less along those respective highways.

For the jerseys, it's white homes and gray roads, but I've gone another non-traditional route. A few years ago, I took on the project of making basketball-style baseball jerseys, and since 1) I've always liked the way they came out and 2) I'm co-opting one of the teams I made for that project, that's the template I'm using for this league. If anyone wants a team done in a more traditional style, let me know, it won't be hard to switch over.

Saco Bay Energy

As I mentioned, a few years back, I did up some NBA D-League teams in OOTP, the Iowa Energy being one of them. Since I've always been proud of my conversion of the basketball into a baseball, I really wanted to use this set. There was very little rhyme or reason behind choosing Saco for the city; a while back they kicked off a green energy movement by erecting some wind turbines, so that's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it. The Energy play for the Boston Rebels organization.

Love the Energy logo. Look forward to the set since these will be local teams.

Northampton Warhawks

This was originally going to be another bird set, but considering this team belongs to the same organization as the Hawks and SkyHawks, I figured a little variation couldn't hurt. The main logo is just a rip from the Seacoast Warhawks, a local semipro football team. The alt logo is a little off with the rest of the design, but it was done as a callback to the team's parent club, Laconia.

Lyndon Flyers

Lyndon, VT plays host to the Sentinels' AA team. No real reasoning behind the team name here besides liking the sound of it. The main logo's background was heavily modified from a skills camp logo found via a google search, with the wordmark from the Leamington Flyers, a junior hockey team, layered on top. The wing stamp is stock, and the F, plus the Lyndon text, are a cool font called Pirate Keg.

Attleboro Diamond Dogs

When it came to Attleboro, I had effectively two options for the name - reference La Salette Shrine, or the jewelry industry. I chose the latter for the baseball diamond entendre, and I gotta say, I like how it came out. The dog in the main logo was a premade vector image found online; the rest of the design was mostly custom, though I used justafan's diamond logo as a template, so credit to him there. The diamond was a stock image. Attleboro plays for the Springfield Metros and thus shares their color scheme.

Greenfield River Cats

As Greenfield sits at the convergence of three rivers, I thought River Cats would be a fitting moniker. The main logo is an edit of the High Point-Thomasville HiToms; everything else is pretty much just a single font. I'm sticking with the G hats in my game, but I did up an alt RC that I'm including as well. The Cats play for the Jackrabbits organization.

Windsor Generals

The name of this team was chosen solely to continue the military theme of their parent organization, the Kingstown Cannons. These went through a couple iterations - I realized the last one I posted relied too much on the lime green, so I edited them again to dial it down a bit. The main logo is a direct rip of the Greensboro Generals, who used to play in the ECHL. Frankly I am not sure where the small logo came from - looks like a youth league team, maybe? Either way, I loved the use of the home plate shape over the star.

Bellows Falls Bridges

Gah, why do I do this to myself with the team names?? I love going "minor league" and I actually really like the iconography with this one but would you believe there aren't any "Bridges" sports logos out there to steal from?

Anyway, Bellows Falls is a village in Rockingham, VT, and supposedly the site of the first bridge over the Connecticut River. Today, a pair of bridges still link the town to the New Hampshire border, so the moniker seemed apt. The main logo is an edit of the Eight Bridges Brewing Co., while the small logo is a simple text B wrapped around the trusses of the main. The jersey script was one of the few premade things I found, just a stock script but a really cool one. The Bridges are the AA affiliate of the Amherst Raptors.
