Can't modify tournament roster

I kept on trying numerous ways to update my tournament rosters, but every single time a version from at least a week ago keeps coming back.

I have:

disabled automatic submit
deleted the save game folder
disabled all the cards from my tournament roster which keep coming back
submitted the roster before and after the tournament started

Interestingly, after the first round of simulation in Q-OPEN-DOD-T8-ID523, it seemed that my desired settings finally stuck, except for part of the bullpen. After crashing out in the second round, I noticed that my lineup in the first game had very little to do with what I wanted to set.

The only thing I see is that in the settings the last submit data info is 'Unknown' and the last submit error code is 78. Google couldn't help with that.

So, I pretty much ran out of options now. Please help!

UPDATE: It seems that the issue is no longer affecting tournaments I have signed up to after the folder deletion and card deactivations.

Error code 78 I believe is an invalid roster. Now that usually would mean something like not setting bullpen roles or having a team over the cap. The other option I would double-check for is that nobody on the team has somehow been sold elsewhere and is sitting on the squad in error.
ie. You have 2 Max Fried cards, one is in your rotation, but you accidentally sold that card on the auction house. There may be cases where we don't catch that on export, but it does get caught in the server when it tries to import your team.
