Role Expectations

I'm in an online league with Red Sox. I managed to trade for a captain and have 2 leaders but no prankster or sparkplug.

I won a contract for some aging free agents Melky Cabrera who is selfish and Chase Headley. Both are popular players and their profile says they expect to start. Am I going to problems this season riding these two switch hitters as my pinch hitters and backups? What happens if I player ends up angry. Will it jeopardize my season and cause toxicity? Will he maybe get over it?

I have a personable manager who favors batters too, will that maybe dispell issues with these old vets?

Are you winning lots of games?

I feel the biggest factor in a happy clubhouse is being good. If you are good and have good leadership otherwise, which you do with a captain and some leaders, I wouldnt mind. However is there no other guy that can back up than a selfish guy who wants to start? I mean backups aren't that hard to find...

I mean generally. If you are projected to win 95 games your guys will be pretty much content no matter what.
